Weekly Prayer Guide
Although we will not be gathering in-person for prayer meetings during the Holiday Season, we encourage you to pray independently or with family and friends throughout the week on the topics listed below:
I. Rule of Life:
Pause: Acknowledge areas in life where busyness or distractions have taken over.
Reflect: Consider the habits, relationships, or activities that draw us away from God.
Ask: Seek wisdom to establish life-giving rhythms and practices that bring us closer to Him.
Yield: Surrender distractions and take small steps to commit to practices that lead to spiritual growth and closeness with God.
II. Advent: Now & Not Yet
Pause: Thank God for Jesus’ birth and take a moment to recognize His faithfulness in the waiting.
Reflect: Consider what you are waiting for and how Jesus brings hope, peace, and joy now, even as we wait for the fulfillment of His Kingdom.
Ask: Pray for patience and faith in the waiting, and for others to encounter Christ’s presence in their own waiting.
Yield: Surrender your plans and longings, trusting in God’s perfect timing and the promise of complete peace to come.
III. Those Struggling with Loneliness:
Pause: Bring to mind individuals who are isolated, grieving, distant from community, and pause to consider what they may be feeling.
Reflect: Meditate on God’s promise of His constant presence and His deep love for every person.
Ask: Pray for opportunities to reach out and offer love and connection to those in need.
Yield: Commit to being a source of comfort and God’s love to those feeling alone – even when it’s inconvenient.
